SAM Putting Lab

The Putter Lab at Cordillera employs technology usually reserved for the Professionals on Tour- until now!

Measuring such factors as skid/roll, face alignment, impact point, stroke path, tempo, loft/lie, and shaft lean we can identify what really happens from start to finish. From this data a “Putting Lab Proficiency Report” will be created, identifying incorrect stroke components and club-fitting issues that cause poor putting performance.

These factors will be corrected and eliminated by custom fitting your CURRENT putter’s lie, loft, length, grip size, weighting etc. to fit your individual putting needs.

PHILOSOPHY

Using the most up to date instructional technology Tom will help you become a "student" of the game at any level. The Learning and Performance Center at Cordillera is equipped with a four camera digital video system, a center of gravity monitor, and the latest 3D biomechanical motion analyzer tracking every move in your golf swing. This technology is coupled with a ball flight launch monitor provide Tom with all the facts necessary to understand your individual motion. This information gives a blueprint of your individual golf swing from top to bottom allowing Tom to customize your instructional needs right from the start!

The Learning Center at Cordillera even has a Short Game Lab including a putting track monitor and a short game specific dual camera digital video set-up that can be used on the course!

Tom's goal is to modify your current golf game and fundamentals to show you instantly what you can do, simply and naturally, without too much physical and mental effort. The goal is NOT try and rebuild your golf swing from scratch, disrupt your current level of play, or force you into an uncomfortable swing model but simply modify what you do currently as quickly as possible. Your golf improvement plan will revolve around the goals you and Tom set, from day one, during the interview process so that your productivity is never compromised.

The Learning Center and its programs are a must for the beginner trying to get an immediate grasp of the game, the average player looking to understand their normal day-to-day game, as well as the serious player looking to move to the next level! At The Club at Cordillera, Tom will provide you with simple and understandable instruction under several formats: private individual lessons, topic specific golf schools, half-day golf schools, as well as, general clinics. Additional instructional options exist for every type of player regardless of golf goals, age, sex, handicap level, or physical problems.

3D Biomechanical Swing Motion Analysis

The Club at Cordillera now possesses 3D Motion Analysis- the same technology used in The Titleist Performance Center by the pros on Tour! One of only four such systems in the world to date. Examining such factors such as torso rotational values, spinal bending, X-factor, kinematic sequence, wrist motions, and clubhead motions, etc., gives us the fingerprint of your current golf swing. These factors are correlated to produce a “Swing Summary Report,” (your swing’s MRI) which we will then compare to the data of our Tour Professionals on file. Auditory biofeedback is finally used to alert you to correct or incorrect motions so you can now translate these new “feels” in your own way. 3D Motion Analysis is truly the wave of the future…

Four Camera Digital Video Analysis

With our four camera digital video system we are able to visually understand your motion from several angles on the screen at the same time. This technology used in conjunction with our 3D Motion Analysis system to allow the student to see and feel the correct motion versus the incorrect one. This is the key to lasting fundamental improvement. Your swing files can be saved for future viewing or for comparison to later swings in subsequent lessons offering you the ability to see into the past. This is an invaluable tool for tracking the maturation of your golf swing…

The Center of Gravity Monitor

How important is it to know how your weight is moving during the swing? If you don’t understand this facet of the golf swing you will never have the distance you are capable of having! The Center of Gravity Monitor helps you to move your weight more effectively and efficiently during the swing and this equates to more balance, power, accuracy, and consistency. Judging from the shape of the graph above we can understand how and when your weight moves and to what part of the foot it goes. This graph alerts us to swing inefficiencies within your current motion which causes slices and poor distance control. Watch the professionals on the Tour, they have perfect balance, do you….

The Ball Flight Launch Monitor

Did you know that your ball’s flight statistics are more important than anything when it comes to hitting the long drive we all desire? Take the time to chart your launch characteristics on your woods and irons and you will find that you are leaving distance on the table. There is not a professional on Tour that does not use this data in correlation with their long-game lessons to make sure they have everything they need for optimum distance and control. Is your driver loft too low, is the ball you play correct for your game, is your angle of attack correct on your wedges? Only this machine can tell you…

The V1 Putting Analysis System

Is putting an Art or a Science? I believe it is both and this new putting analysis software by V1 will allow us to examine your putting stroke like never before. On the green we can understand things like pace and line control, as well as, monitor your alignments…but why did you really miss that last putt? This system will allow us to analyze your putting stroke checking things like your aim at address, your aim at impact, stroke path, tempo, and many other issues of your stroke that we cannot see on the putting green visually. Take advantage of technology and understand both facets of your putting motion!

The “SteelClub” Iron Bending Machine

Is the loft and lie of your irons correct? Did you know that an incorrect lie of only one degree can make you miss the green by five to ten yards instantly? Now each time you come into the Learning Center your clubs will be tested and altered automatically eliminating this worrisome issue within your current golf game. The “SteelClub” Iron Bending Machine is without a doubt the world’s best bending machine. It has been #1 on Tour Worldwide for 18 consecutive years in equipment repair vans. It is a precision gauge for measuring and bending loft/lie angles on right- and left-hand irons and even the lie/face angles on right- and left-hand metal woods and hybrid utility clubs. Are your clubs costing you strokes….

On the Course Digital Analysis

How many times have I heard, “I swing differently on the course?” Using our portable digital video system by JC Video, we will now be able to see what you actually “do” on the golf course. This system will give us the ability to use digital video analysis for on course situations, short game lessons, and even compare the two motions on the screen side by side. This way we can truly understand the pros and the cons of your game from the inside out…
